CALIFORNIA JOURNALISM JOB BANK: Free listing of newspaper jobs in California.

CAREER BUILDER: Many types of jobs -- not just journalism

CAREER PAGE: National Job Bank for Broadcasters and career advice from the National Alliance of State Broadcasters Associations.

CONNECTICUT BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION: Has good links and names and addresses of radio and television stations in Connecticut.

CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING: Job listings for PBS and NPR.

CUB REPORTERS: Links to excellent tips on jobs and internships

EDITOR & PUBLISHER: Job listings for newspaper jobs of all kinds.

ESPN: Internships in Bristol. Most of these are paid, require 20 or more hours weekly, and are available for the fall, spring and summer semesters. Click on "Jobs," then "Internships" ... then narrow the search to Bristol. The "Internships" section is often vacant, but new listings are posted close to the start of each semester.

GANNETT JOBS: Gannett company job listings. Includes print and broadcast jobs.

JOBS PAGE: An extensive site produced by the Detroit Free Press. It has excellent advice on how to do a resume, a cover letter, and an interview. It also has good links to other job sites. This site is a MUST.

JOURNALISM JOBS: Operated by the Columbia Journalism Review and America Online -- excellent. Lots of jobs.

MAGAZINE PUBLISHERS OF AMERICA: Job and internship listings and career advice

MASSACHUSETTS BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION: Has a list of radio and television stations and a job bank. You can post your resume.

MEDIA BISTRO: All types of journalism and related jobs

MEDIA LINE: There is a fee for this job bank, too, but it linked one of our recent graduates to her first television job. The minimum subscription is five days for $9.95.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS: Job listings and career tips.

NATIONAL DIVERSITY NEWSPAPER JOB BANK: Maintained by the Newspaper Association of America. You must submit a resume to get a password to the job bank.

NATIONAL WRITERS UNION: Job listings for members of the National Writers Union. Membership is $95 per year. You can preview the types of jobs available before you join.

NEW ENGLAND NEWSPAPER ASSOCIATION: A free job listing maintained by the New England Newspaper Association.

NEW HAMPSHIRE ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS: Job bank.

NEWS LINK: A large site maintained by the American Journalism Review. Lists news organizations by state.

RADIO-TELEVISION NEWS DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION: This site has job listings and a lot of good information about broadcast careers.

SUN OASIS JOBS: Information about writing jobs, careers and publishing

THE WRITE JOBS: Writing jobs of many kinds, including freelance.

TRIBUNE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES: Print, broadcast and online jobs with the Tribune Co.

TVSpy: Has job listings and a daily electronic newsletter, Shoptalk.
